Iran-Bangladesh movie to premiere at Fajr fest

The Iranian-Bangladeshi co-production 'Beautiful Lies' has entered its final technical stages before being premiered at the 42nd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF).

Directed and produced by Morteza Atash-Zamzam, the film features Bangladeshi superstar Jaya Ahsan and other prominent Bangladeshi actors.

The Bangladeshi cities of Dhaka and Gazipur served as the picturesque backdrop for the upcoming film.

Due to the presence of Bangladeshi cinema stars, the film has garnered attention from the Bangladeshi press since its production.

Bangladesh has a vibrant film industry influenced by Bollywood.

'Beautiful Lies' is expected to captivate audiences at the Fajr Film Festival with its compelling narrative and stellar performances.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays the creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 42nd edition of the event is scheduled for February 1-11, 2024.
